Parent's can also upload Observations, Next Steps, Photographs and Videos of their children and record Accidents or Incidents that took place at home onto your system for your approval.
In addition, by giving parents access to your system you WILL reduce the paperwork in your setting, you will no longer need to print or write Daily Notes, print off Policies, Permissions and Contracts for them to read and sign or produce a learning journey for parents as Baby's Days does all this for you for every child in your care!
OFSTED are keen that all childcare facilities including childminders and nurseries form a partnership with the parents of the children they care for.
Baby’s Days is the ONLY system available that allows the parents of the children you care for the ability to login to your system and securely view areas of their child's Early Years Development.
The parent side of the system will allow them to view any daily notes that have been created for their child along with photos and videos that were uploaded for each day.
Parents can also view their child's Progress including the achievement dates of each Early Years Outcome, the Progress/Observation notes that have been added and all the photographs and videos that have been uploaded to their child's Progress.
Parents can also view multiple photograph and video galleries on the system, so now there is no excuse for you not to share those Early Years photographs and videos with the parents of the children you care for.
You can also use the Policies and Permissions on the system and assign them to individual children, once Policies and Permissions have been assigned to a child, the parent can read your Policies and Permissions when they connect, they can then agree and digitally sign their acceptance of them.
There's no need to purchase expensive paper format contracts, use the contracts on the system, assign them to the children's parents and they can read and digitally sign their acceptance to them online.
Once you have created a weekly or monthly invoice parents can connect to your system to view and print them, saving you even more time and money in printing costs.
Parents can connect to your system and view their child's weekly Attendance Registers, if necessary and you require them to sign them, the system will not let them view other areas of your system until they have accepted the hours you have approved.
Create a Newsletter and the parent can connect and view the Newsletter online.
Parents can also view their child's 2 Year Progress Check and Termly Reports on the system and even complete the Parent's Comments and Feedback section of both sections.
You decide which areas of your system the individual children's parents can see on your system, you can allow them to view all areas of the system or just 1 or 2 areas for specific children.
If you do not want to give parents access to specific areas of your system, you simply deny them access using a simple tick box selection, you can decide how much or how little you want them to view, it really is so simple.
As long as you have a Standard or Premium subscription, parents can download and use the app for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and login to the app with their username and password.
Parents can view their child's progress, photographs, videos and so much more, they can also sign their acceptance of your Policies and Permissions directly on the screen of their phone.
Add Observations for their child
Parents can contribute to their child's learning and development by adding observations directly on the system.
When parents have added observations you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and in the progress section, you can then view the observation(s) the parent has added and link them to the outcomes within the EYFS, once linked and saved the parent added observation(s) appear in their child's progress section and displayed as a Parent Observation.
Add Next Steps for their child
Parents can contribute to their child's learning and development by adding next steps directly on the system.
When parents have added next steps you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and in the next step section, you can then view the next step(s) the parent has added and use them in the child's development by working on the next step with the child, once the next step has been achieved by the child the parent added next step(s) appear in their child's progress section and displayed as a Parent Next Step.
Upload photographs of their child
Parents can upload photographs directly on the system.
Photographs that parents have uploaded appear directly within the child's parent photograph gallery, in addition you can duplicate any of the photographs a parent has uploaded to the child's progress / learning journal simply by linking them to the outcomes within the EYFS, once linked and saved the photograph will also appear within the child's progress / learning journal and in the progress gallery.
Record their child's accidents / incidents that took place at home
Parents can add accidents / incidents that happened whilst in their care directly on the system.
When parents have added accidents / incidents you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and in the accidents / incidents section, you can then view the accident / incident and approve it to be added to the child's accidents / incidents records.
Add short / long term medications for their child
Parents can add Short and Long Term Medications directly on the system.
When parents have added Short and Long Term Medications you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and in the medical section, you can then view the Short / Long Term Medication and approve it to be added to the child's medical records.
Leave comments on their child's daily notes
Parents can leave comments on any created daily notes for their child on the system.
When parents have added comments within a daily note you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and on the live feed advising you of the comment that has been left, you can then respond directly to the parent within the daily note.
Leave comments on their child's photographs
Parents can leave comments on any photograph for their child on the system.
When parents have added a comment on a photograph you will receive an alert in the Control Centre and live feed advising you of the comment that has been left, you can then respond directly to the parent on the photograph.
